Ingredients:
- 150 g cooked pumpkin (yellow pumpkin or sweet potato)
- 500 g flour
- 80 g butter or margarine (room temperature)
- 10 g salt
- 10 g baking powder
- 50–100 ml water (preferably from boiling the pumpkin)
Preparation:
- Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
- Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut circles (you can use a cup or cookie cutter).
- Poke each circle with a fork to avoid bubbling.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Place on paper towels to remove excess oil before serving.
